1.  We are a local agency and you can stop by and see your dollars at work any time.  For more than forty years, PPCAA has successfully enhanced the quality of life for individuals and families with limited incomes by offering programs that provide for basic needs and opportunities to be self-sufficient. 
 
2.  We are devoted and focused on our mission to increase the capacity of low-income individuals and families to be self-sufficient.  We value people. The Promise of Community Action:  "Community Action changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live.  We care about the entire community and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.”
 
3.  We are good stewards of your investment and have a balanced budget.  On an annual budget of approximately 1 million, our 15 employees serve 18,000 people at five locations.  
 
4.  We are open to your ideas and respectful of your time.  We have two annual events for sponsorship opportunities and volunteerism.  Our spring event is ‘Evening of Broadway’ and our summer event is ‘Groovin’ in the Garden’.  We are governed by a volunteer Board and are grateful to have volunteers at all of our sites. 
 
5.  We are socially responsible.  Our Credo is:  WE BELIEVE that all individuals are valuable and deserve the opportunity to contribute to society.  WE BELIEVE in the self worth of all people.  WE RESPECT the individuality of every person and treat everyone accordingly.  WE ARE honest and ethical in our human interactions. WE ARE innovative in our approach to providing quality services in a caring manner.
 
6.  We are grateful and stand by our successes.  Many of our successful participants, over the last 40 years, have become board members, employees, donors, and remain part of our mission.  We make a difference in people’s lives and, in turn, they enrich us.
 
7.  We are a cornerstone.  Our donors and financial partners stay with us year after year and make us part of their family. 

 

PPCAA is an eligible Enterprise Zone Project.

For over forty years, we have successfully assisted low-income families and individuals to be self-sufficient in Colorado Springs and El Paso County. We provide services for nearly 18,000 people annually.

Your contribution, of $250 or more, makes you eligible for the 25 percent Colorado State Income Tax Credit in addition to your Federal Tax Deduction. The Tax Credit is a reduction to your Colorado tax liability and is available to businesses and individuals.

Pikes Peak Community Action Agency is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, contributions to which are tax deductible.
