James A Faber, CEO

James Faber joined PPCAA as the new CEO on January 2nd, 2007 after a successful 20-year military career and recent success in the for profit arena.  His Air Force career included flying B-1B Bombers, numerous flying assignments, leading operations and personnel in the political science department at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and serving as the military assistant to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, advising on African and Asian US Foreign Policy. As military assistant, Faber also served on the President’s HIV/AIDS Commission for Africa and crafted language raising global awareness of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, which is now added to every UN Security Council Resolution.  He also helped establish five UN peacekeeping operations and was involved in numerous multi-lateral negotiations pursuing US foreign policy goals. Faber also served as chief operating officer with a startup oil and gas Exploration Company here in Colorado and has considerable fundraising experience in the volunteer sector. He is a board member of the Colorado Springs Down Syndrome Association and Vice President of The National Down Syndrome Congress. “I am very excited and honored to be part of the team,” said Faber, “and I look forward to the challenges ahead as we continue to expand the organization and provide critical services to our clients.”
